    The Lane Regional Air Protection Agency (LRAPA) is hosting a public meeting on Tuesday June 15, 2021, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. to provide information on LRAPA’s implementation of Cleaner Air Oregon (CAO) in Lane County, as well as to hear community questions and concerns about air quality issues in the region. A goal of this meeting is to better understand how each unique neighborhood would like to be informed of upcoming opportunities to participate in the air permitting process.

  2. Public Notice Draft for the Oakridge 2020 Exceptional Event Demonstration

    The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), in partnership with the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency (LRAPA), invites the public to submit written comments on the Exceptional Event demonstration for the 2020 wildfire smoke impacts on the Oakridge PM2.5 air quality monitoring data. LRAPA monitors PM2.5 (particulate matter = 2.5 micrometers in diameter) in Oakridge for comparison to the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). Oakridge is currently a non-attainment area for PM2.5, but has low enough levels now where it can become redesignated to a maintenance area.
